Just chiming in on some of the comments ---- Yes, getting to 100 points is a little easier in the shootout era, BUT 7 years in a row is still an amazing run of consistency.

Yes, the Wings have lost in the first or second round a few of those years, but with 3 Cups in 11 years - something most other teams would kill for - they can still sleep at night.

I dont think 100 point seasons hold as much weight as they use to. (Preshoot out). Most games that were tied and went into ot stayed a tie an each team won a point. Now with the shootout one team gets 2 points.

I am a die hard Sabres fan but there is no way they would have as many points as they did last year if they didnt have so many shootout wins.
