Buy or Sell: Hip-Hop Heads can't like Lil' Wayne?

Question

Who here is sick of Lil' Wayne fans *raises hand*, who here is sick of people giving them attention like I am doing now *raises hand* Sorry, but my question is can you be a "hip-hopper" and enjoy/respect/defend Weezy F. Baby or whatever the f*ck he calls himself? I'll say it: I think he does have serious talent and can put out a dope record. I wouldn't defend him though for fear of a sea of thumbs down and a few thumbs up from people I don't really want them from... I am not a fan of his but am I not allowed to say he has talent without being labeled a stan or being immediatley dismissed? is wayne really on the level of soulja boy?

The artists people listen to are based on personal taste, and Hip-hop heads embrace the culture.  They'll listen to whoever they think is hot, not what everyone else thinks.  I'm a hip-hop head, I don't like Lil Wayne, but I'm sure I COULD get into him, maybe he just hasn't appealed to me yet.

You can defend/like any rapper you like. It's your own personal opinion, but there will always be people who will denounce your opinion and think they have the better opinion. Because no matter what type of person you are, someone will eventually not like your opinion. That's human nature. 
And Lil' Wayne is not on the level of Soulja Boy. His songs aren't THAT bad.

Wayne has fans from alot of Heads (I'm a fan) and you shouldn't be afraid to say you're a fan because of a few thumbs down. 

I'm usually never against him, just against the stans. I'll be checking out the Carter 3.

As a Head, I think one should take the culture as a whole, but you really shouldn't be ignoring dudes with skill.

Sell...I think that ppl more so dont like him for his claiming to be the greatest alive...when actually he's not...Then ppl actually going around believing and keeping the myth alive...lol...I dont think that he anywhere close to the best but he not terrible neither...If thats what u like then thats whats u like...but hip hop heads are gonna challenge u on y and if u dont have anything better then...He looks great and made a lot of records. then maybe thats why ur dismissed
