I bought a film scanner and the guy refused any form of payment except to enter my credit card info via his personal website even though he said he would accept money orders. he kept emailing me saying he wouldn't take anything but my credit card!! I went to ebay and they shut him down. It took about 2 months, but the only thing I was out was some negative feed back that was removed 2 months later when they axed him.

Somebody sold me a pair of tennis shoes and then I got a letter from Ebay saying we had mutually agreed to cancel the sale. The seller and I hadn't even communicated so I told Ebay, no, that's not true. I would still like to buy the shoes.
Seller freaked out saying I had cost him money...
All he had to do was communicate in the first place. I didn't know what was going on.
Worst part is the negative feedback he was allowed to leave me when I was right!

I bought a hard drive for a laptop from ebay once
I never recieved the item and the seller never responded to any of my emails
I later found out that the lady I bought the item from terminated her ebay account so I was out of luck
sadly, I didn't use paypal to pay for the item and was out of 30 dollars.

I allowed a "friend" to use my name and email address to purchase something and she never followed thru with her purchases, so now I have a bad rating and will never be able to buy anything on there.
