I have a couple questions about requesting friends on myspace...?

First of all,how do you request a friend? I thought I knew how,but now I'm not sure.I thought all you had to do was go to a person's myspace and click the "add" button that's below his or her picture. Then that person accepts or rejects your request. But that person can not be on your list of friends until he or she accepts your request, right?

I'm asking this because I just clicked the add button below a person's picture, and I immediately went back to my myspace and that person's picture was already on my list of friends. He wasn't even online at the time,so how does that work?

He might have been online but was hidden. Meaning that he probly has his file set on "hidden" so people won't know when you are on. You can do that when you edit your settings or your profile.

And the way you are requesting friends is correct.

Yes they must accept or deny the request. There is an option on myspace to not show when you are online. So he really could of been online at that time although it doesn't/didn't say he was.

Myspace has so many glitches of that sort. Just try back another time and it should be fine. I have encountered that before as well.
