2nd idea: do a story on the fall of the value of the dollar. copy a graph from yahoo finance. And then relate that to the true value of the fall of the stock market. Basic premise; If a 12000(dow jones) is a near panic "historicly" then if you consider the fallen value of the dollar does that really mean the true dow number should be 6000?..... can you say crash and great depression part 2?

Does it have to be about your school? Maybe write about other countries' Valentines Day traditions or retell a romantic old love story that--gasp--turns out to be the story about one of the teachers and his/her spouse.
