PS3 Linux instalation?
If it's not too much trouble, could someone walk me through every step for instaling Linux on my PS3, from the very start to end, in as easy to follow directions as possible? I would greatly appreciate it!

Hey man. I can't get too detailed because it takes awhile and my buddy was working on it with me, so I did some and he did some...won't have complete complete details, though you will see as you start the steps are pretty simple. What are you wanting linux for? Which one are you using? We put Linux Ubuntu on my PS3 as an alternate OS. A partition was made on the HDD and then Ubuntu loaded onto it via the Install other O/S tab in your Settings section of the PS3. The PS3 will read the install disc you are using and you will follow the prompted steps just as you would with any PC. Treat the PS3 like a computer! **Warning** Linux loads extremely slow. During installation, I left one part going over night. I thought it had frozen on 13% and restarted the process a couple times before leaving it on all night. When I woke up in the morning, it was done. When switching from PS3 OS to the Linux OS, you will have to do the same A/V reset you would make when going from composite/component to HDMI. Holler if you get stumped!
