Does Undertow Make up for the holiday xbox live outage?
Undertow is the xbox live arcade game that Microsoft is giving xbox live gold and silver members to make up for the week or so of xbox live downtime. Please keep in mind this was during the holidays when people had more time to game and some folks just recieved brand new games they may have wanted to test out on xbox live with their 1 month free trials they earned from their new xbox 360s.
Personally I think they should make xbox live free, or barring that at least give us xbox live arcade games/pics/themes free.
Please feel free to add more answers as I would like to get more opinions on this issue.

Hi Joe,
I agree. I for one do appreciate the gesture, but personaly I would prefer Microsoft give us gamers an option as to how to "make it up to us", IF that is what they are trying to do.
Say a choice of a month of free service, or a choice or an xbox live arcade game, not having one thrown at us. Kinda the "Take it or leave it" mentality..doesn't sit well with me personaly. *ADDED - Oh...just read on XBOX Live message board, Undertow is no longer free. If that is true, they offered it for free for what, one day?? And not alot if any advertising for that one free day.
Peace=)

I think it makes up for it, it was a pretty sweet game.
If you think about it...
XBL = $50 a year
50/365 = ~14 cents a day for XBL
XBL was out for about 2 weeks: 14 x .14 = ~$2 you lost because it was "out".
Undertow originally costs 800 MS points which is about $10 in real money.
So MS more than made up for it. According to the math anyways.
Undertow is free until Sunday.
