Is this normal?

Exactly a week ago I had surgery to remove 6 impacted teeth (4 wisdom and 2 molars).

I still feel quite sore in the mouth and jaw area, plus my bruising is still quite visible. I'm not even on solid food yet, even a week later.

Is this normal? Is there anything I could do to fasten up the healing process?

It's extremely normal if your teeth were impacted.

When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I only had one impaction. That spot stayed sore for quite a while, and was the one which gave me the most trouble. Among other things, I lost the clot in that one, and had the most amazingly intense pain in the world.

You had not four but six impacted teeth pulled. That's really hard on your mouth. Just be sure you are following your doc's aftercare procedures carefully, and that you are taking care to do everything as you should, and I am sure you will start feeling better soon. The reason why it's taking a while is because your mouth had a really bad day a week ago, and it's going to require some extra time to heal.

    Be well ;)

Well seeing that you had 4 wisdom and 2 molars... wow! That's a lot of teeth to take out. I think you are feeling good considering. But if you want to know, go to the doctor.

Its normal. My sister was bruised for a month after having 2 wisdom teeth pulled. It just depends on the person.

Don't know what will help you heal faster. Good luck, though.

Yes its normal. I just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled and it took me almost 2 weeks to really start eating hard foods. It will go away I promise. I know it hurts like hell though. Good luck

Call the dentist/doctor that removed the teeth. You could have dry sockets, or it could be normal
