Can AVAST and AVG 7.5 Free, be active at the same time?

In yahoo answers I have read that having both gives a good AV protection, but they dont say if they can be active simultaneously.

It is never recomended to run two or more antiviruses on a system because they can and do conflict with each other and can cause a system to respond poorly,, Causing freezeups and slow loading pages,, You can and is good to run at least two antispyware tools to remove spyware and adware,, This is because each one will have their own definitions to scan with and what one does not find the second one usually will,

Avast and AVG are good free antivirus tools so I would decide which you wish to run and remove the other,

  • Avast and Avg are fine to be active together,Avast is antivirus and your AVG 7.5 is antispyware.

Never have two or more antiviruses running, besides Avast is a lot better so I would keep that

You should NOT run two AVs at the same time..AVAST is the better of the two.

Use a single antivirus but keeps it patterns update. Multiple antiviruses slow down the system.

AVST and AVG is best antivirus but you can use a single antivirus and regular update your antiviurs . Two and more antiviruses slow down the system. I think you can choose AVST antiviurs.

you shouldn't have 2 antiviruses i recommend AVAST because it can scan files before you download them unlike other antiviruses which only do if you tell them to avast has saved me from many trojans =]

It is best if you just have one anti-virus protection on your computer, as having two different softwares can conflict with each other and cause deficiency.
