Are obese people discriminated at restaurants when seated?
Don't you feel you embarass them by cramming them in a booth? Of course you should ask them , but be sensible about it.
An obese person can't fit any better in a small booth than a full term pregant woman can, so place her at a table next time.

No I dont think so, being overweight myself... If I feel I cant fit in a booth, which is very rarely, I ask for a table... the seater shouldnt feel obligated to seat overweight people anywhere... meaning if they are too big, then they should ask for a table..

I think an obese person has the same rights as the slim or skinny persons do in using a public restaurant. All an obese person should do is to wait for a while till the waiter or waitress come by. The obese person should treat the waiting staff courteouly as professional but not as a servant. Try to use eye contact and say polite words such as "excuse me" or just say hello. He or she will estimate the size of the obese customer and get a bigger seat to fit in. A good restaurant usually has larger size tables and chairs for the larger persons or infants.

If you need a table to sit at for any reason all you do it request it... If that area is full then just wait for a table to open up.
Not everyone is thinking about how big a person is some people just go on about their own bussiness and allow the person with the weight to solve the problem.

I wouldn't think so, i mean people work to get paid, if they pay i'm sure the restaurants will be happy with whoever.
In movies they do a lot of discrimination though.

Some of those restaurants which offer "all-you-can-eat-for..." get scared when a very large person comes in.

Yeah, they get stared at. If they had common sense they would get takeaway and not embarass themselves or anyone else unfortunate enough to be eating at the same place as them.
