Chicago media question: Why are no jobs listed for Chicago in the area south, near Midway Airport, SW Subs?

Always. every job web thing, including the State of Illinois' "Illinois Skills Match" thru the Dept of Labor, list jobs everywhere except near Midway. There are never jobs in any of these services, in papers, etc, in the SW suburbs like Oak Lawn, or in Palos Township, or Worth Townships. The nearest ones are always near O Hare, Waukeegan, far west suburbs. Why is this so biased towards the north side? The news media often rqarly covers things south or southwest. I am not getting a 2nd job for minimum wage and have to go to Darien, Waukeegan, Evanston, or near O Hare just to put gas in my tank daily..

I have recently discovered that some places only want to hire local people so they don't advertise jobs, but rely on word-of-mouth or "help wanted" signs to fill vacant positions. You may have to do some leg work to find a job in the location you want.

    Good luck!
