Freezing yogurt?
Hey! I read that yogurt is a super food, so I've been trying to eat more of it. What I've been doing is buying those low-cal desert yogurts and freezing them and eating them like ice cream, which is really yummy, but I was wondering: I know what's so great about yogurt is all the microbacteria and stuff, so I'm just concerned that maybe freezing is killing the healthy bacteria and taking away from the nutritional value. Does this happen or is it just as beneficial frozen? Should I go back to just chilling it in the fridge?

Freezing does nothing to it besides make it safer to eat. if you kept it in warm areas like the counter the bacteria can Multiply at a very fast rate. the fridge is a slower rate and the freezer practically stops the rate of multiplying. Plus the yogurt is Sealed so nothing can get in or escape. Its like putting chicken in the freezer it does nothing except makes it last longer. and keeps it from being contaminated.

Frozen Yogurt

I don't think that freezing it will change it horrifically. It might change a few properties of it but it won't be anything sufficient enough to kill off the good micro bacteria. After all, you've heard of frozen yogurt, right? Exactly! Same concept!

Freezing it does not hurt the yogurt. You are fine and what a great snack.
