What Format will QTrax use?

Question

I know until recently QTrax was using a proprietary format (.mpq) to encode their music.  However, it's gone all crazybig with their new deals with EMI and Sony-BMG.  What format will they be using?  Will it be MP3?  WMA?  OGG?

I like the idea of it, but I don't want to have to have a big clunky memory-hog browser/player running in the background to listen to music.  I happen to LIKE winamp - it's what I grew up with.  I'd rather not use QTrax if I can't use my old-school MP3 players.

QTRAX files will be n the windows media format DRM

They can't be burned to CDS and some mp3s and they are supposedly highly  encrypted to prevent people from sharing it illegally. . . . 

They said it would be available for download a midnight and its still not up yet. But ijm just lucky i live in australia so i wont have to stay up until the morning

they are now using with permission i might add the mp3 format

After years of fighting peer-to-peer file-sharing companies, the major record labels have decided that if they can't beat them, they might as well join them -- in one case, anyway.  At the Midem conference in Cannes, France, Qtrax announced deals with all the major music labels and publishers to offer the first free and legal ad-supported P2P service to include major label music using the mp3 format
