Help! I skipped a birth control pill and had unprotected sex. What are my chances of getting pregnant?
I am such an idiot. You know how there's a row of 'sugar pills' at the end of the packet to help you through your period? Well last night as I was taking my pill, I accidentally took one of those by mistake instead of an actual pill with the hormones in it.
Then about 16 hours later, I had unprotected sex with my partner twice and both times he came in me. I wasn't worried because I thought I had taken the pill the night before.
SO, today when I went to take one, I noticed that I had ****** up previously so I took two instead of one because that's what it said to do on the packet.
Now I'm really worried about falling pregnant from that one skipped pill. What are my chances of doing so? And even though I am on the pill should I take my chances and take a round of morning after pills just to be sure?
I AM FREAKING OUT! Thanks for your help.

You should be okay. You did the right thing by taking two pills today, and you don't need to take Plan B.
You can take a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks for peace of mind, but you're unlikely to be pregnant. When you get to the sugar pill you missed, you can just skip that day.
"If that one missed pill was the only one you took more than 24 hours late, that would have been unlikely to compromise the effectiveness of your pill as birth control."

You will not get pregnant, however you will probably have random spotting that you didn't expect. Depending on how you get your pills, you may need to wait and skip active pills for a bit because my insurance company only lets me get my refill a certain amount of days before I need them. So, skipping inactive pills might mean you have to skip active pills later on, and you can get pregnant then. So, try not to skip your inactive pills either. Let your cycle run its course or talk to your doctor about Seasonique.

Your chances are extremely small. Don't worry yourself over it, that may stress you out too much and you could delay your period which would really freak you out.
Seriously, one pill is not a big deal. If you want you can do some research into it....you will find that missing one pill doesn't increase your chance of pregnancy.

uh, from what I understand you CAN get preg. I don't know what the risk is, but better safe than sorry. You should go ahead and get some morning after pills, ASAP. Like right now, lol. The longer you wait the more liikely it'll fail if you do happen to ovulate.

If you are worried go get the morning after pill.
Pills taken correctly are only 99% effective, so if you forget to take a pill, that effectiveness is lessened.
I would take the morning after pill.
