Staying at the Belevedere in March. Where to eat?

I'll be in NYC in the beginning of March and am looking for good places to eat within a 10/15 minute walk.

I like something that falls in the middle between a Nobu and an Olive Garden.

Wife loves authentic Mexican food. I really enjoy Italian.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
