I was recently divorced and My EX-WIFE who couldn't boil an egg, keep my recipe book collections?

When I got my divorce my ex-wife who like I said couldn't boil an egg, keep all my recipe books. (Along with most of my cooking supplies) If I know her she probably tossed them or burned them, all out of spite...

I had three subscriptions to three different recipe books of the month. I don't know which one it was in, but one of them had this recipe for Gazpacho Pasta Salad. It was made with either Tomato or V8 juice and lime juice and a little Olive oil and the bow tie pasta.

I am wondering if anyone notices the name of that recipe and or those odd ingredients for pasta salad can email it to me.

I miss that and I just got a real craving for it...

Its worth 10 points to the first person that can send it to me. There is one other weird ingredient in it so I will know if you have the right one if that ingredient is in it.

    Salad

    1 package (16 oz) bow-tie (farfalle) pasta

    2 large tomatoes, seeded, coarsely chopped (2 cups)

    1 large cucumber, coarsely chopped (1 1/2 cups)

    1 small red bell pepper, coarsely chopped (1/2 cup)

    1 small yellow bell pepper, coarsely chopped (1/2 cup)

    8 medium green onions, sliced (1/2 cup)

    1 green Anaheim chile, seeded, chopped

    1 can (2 1/4 oz) sliced ripe olives, drained

    1/2 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro

    Tomato-Lime Vinaigrette

    1/2 cup tomato juice

    1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil

    1/4 cup lime juice

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon pepper

    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

    1. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Rinse with cold water; drain.

    2. In large bowl, mix pasta and all remaining salad ingredients.

    3. In small bowl, mix all vinaigrette ingredients until well blended. Pour over salad; toss to mix.

    Gazpacho Pasta Salad

    1 package (16 ounces) farfalle (bow-tie) pasta

    Lime Vinaigrette (below)

    2 large tomatoes, seeded and coarsely chopped (2 cups)

    1 large cucumber, coarsely chopped (1 1/2 cups)

    1 small red bell pepper, coarsely chopped (1/2 cup)

    1 small yellow bell pepper, coarsely chopped (1/2 cup)

    1/4 cup lime juice

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon pepper

    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

    Mix all ingredients.

    Makes 14 servings

    I have never heard of this salad, so I did some searching! It sounds really good & this one has the olive oil, lime juice and tomato juice. This one does use a different pasta, so just sub in bow ties...

    * 1/2 pound rotelle pasta

    * 4 green onions, chopped

    * 1 cup chopped green bell pepper

    * 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced

    * 2 tomatoes, chopped

    * 1 cucumber

    * 1/4 cup olive oil

    * 1/4 teaspoon salt

    * 1 clove garlic, crushed

    * 1/4 cup fresh lime juice

    * 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

    * 6 fluid ounces tomato juice

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.

    2. In large bowl combine pasta, onion, bell pepper, jalapeno, tomatoes, cucumber, oil, salt, garlic, lime juice, black pepper and tomato juice. Toss well and chill in refrigerator for 2 hours. Toss again before serving.

    Spanish Gazpacho

    Serves 4 - 6

    1 tbsp ground almonds

    1 garlic clove, crushed

    1 tbsp olive oil

    2 lb ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded, finely chopped

    1 small onion, peeled, finely chopped

    1 small onion, peeled, finely chopped

    1 small cucumber, finely diced

    1 cup tomato juice

    2 tbsp red wine vinegar

    2 tbsp fresh lime juice

    3 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley

    2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander

    Garnish

    - fresh lime wedges

    - chopped serrano chilies

    - fresh coriander leaves

    - Combine ground almonds, garlic, and oil to form a smooth paste

    - Place tomatoes in a bowl, add almond paste and remaining ingredients

    - Mix well, takong care not to crush the tomatoes

    - Chill for at least 2 hours before serving

    - Serve in individual bowls with a small amount of ice

    - Accompany with wedges of lime and sprinkle with fresh chopped serrano chilies and coriander leaves

    GAZPACHO PASTA SALAD WITH CANNELLINI BEANS

    1 pound Elbow Macaroni, Radiatore or other medium pasta shape, uncooked

    2 cups vegetable or tomato juice

    3 large, ripe tomatoes, finely diced

    2 medium cucumbers, peeled, seeded and finely diced

    1 (16-oz.) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed well

    1 medium red onion, diced

    3 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

    3 tbsp. red wine vinegar

    1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse under cold water.

    In a large bowl, stir together pasta and remaining ingredients; serve.

    sorry for your luck. you might find it on food network. If anybody has that recipe it would be them. Good Luck. if you had any family recipes i would get them from that family member. if they passed away i would get them from their family members that have them.

    I never heard of someone divorcing their wife cos she couldnt boil an egg.
