Have you ever been so apathetic that you just didn't care?
Thank you all for explaining what the word apathy means, but I just don't care.

Yeah, I was just so apathetic that I didn't even care about not caring that I just didn't care. Now that's messed up. :)

Find a simple activity that you enjoy, make sure it's completely unrelated to the cause of your emotional state(which should of course be understood and acknowledged first), and simply have fun until you feel better. Sound easy? Well it is if you have some fun simple activity ready and you're willing to lower your standards and pride for a while :) Once you feel better, you'll have lost yourself in the moment, and upon finding yourself again, you should also find that the cause of your emotional state has either faded away, or taken on a new, and much easier to deal with, personality. Rinse and repeat if necessary ;)

Sorry but that is what apathetic is. Not caring.I'm sure that every one at some point in life has not cared. The thing is to get thru it without hurting anybody and go on with life. The world really doesn't stop.

Apathy is not caring... So your question "Have you ever been so not caring that you just didn't care?" Doesn't make much sense.

Sometimes my apathy is so profound that I go full circle and start caring again.

Yes, I had some of that this morning. I cancelled my Dental appointment. I just did not want to go and I did not care if they billed me a cancellation fee or not.

Oh yeah, it was one of those times in my life where absolutely NOTHING was going RIGHT. You usually think you have nothing to lose at this point and begin to care about nothing. Eventually, I realized there are things worth caring about though.

I get that way for a couple of days most weeks. It's a side effect of depression. You should seek medical advice. They'll probably drug you so you don't feel the nothingness of life so strongly.
