Help Interpret my dream!! Elementary School.......?
Since I was in High School probably my last year, until now....I'm 26. I've been having dreams on and off (about 1 every 6 mths or so) about my elementary school. Usually in the dream I am trying to go to class and I can't find the room # or I can't find my locker combination or I'm late or something else is going wrong. Its always set in a time when I'm older than elementary age, usually I'm high school age. But it always has something going wrong and me struggling to do something that I can't seem to do but which seems so easy to me in real life. I really struggle with the meaning of this dream...please help.

Dreams are a continuation of your waking thoughts. While asleep your subconscious is patching together images that evoke the same emotions you feel while awake. This dream you keep on having is a classic anxiety dream. In your waking life you are in a situation where you feel anxious about something. This will keep recurring every time you feel anxious about something in your waking life. Find out what it is that you are anxious about or is stressing you. Once you have resolved this situation your dream will cease until such time you're under stress again.
I also have the same dreams where I have to go to school (college because that was the time I put unnecessary stress on myself by my penchant for being tardy) but I couldn't get on the bus or if I did I realise that I forgot something (like my pants!). The time in my dream was always 2:30 pm because that was the time of most of my classes in college. The day would go by quickly while I was stuck in traffic. This often recurs when I am under stress or anxious about something I have to do in my job.

sounds like you have fond memories of simpler days when everything wasn't as cut throat as now. it also looks like you have an issue with being perfect... of having a control over life that doesn't really exist. At age 26, life is hectic... back then all you dealt with was being late to class etc. Do you currently have a job where you deal with people on a daily basis that you don't really like? that they hinder your progress, or are lazy and let things slide... who force others to take up the slack?
This is definitely a stress dream. Just think back to elementary school. what was your biggest problem? not much, huh? a stuck locker or missed class MAYBE... now everything is overtime, missed meetings, bills to pay, and all the foibles of adult life... subconsciously, you wish you were back in that simpler time. Heck, when its been a bad day, don't we all.

Sounds like you feel that you have failed in someway. It is a feeling that you are not effective or inferior to your own age group. It might be that you are comparing your life to other people's or maybe a family member placed heavy expectations on you that you feel you have failed to meet, now in your 20's. To have to repeat grade or high school in your 20's would be humiliating and counter-productive in addition to that feeling that you can't do simple tasks in ordinary situations as you mentioned:(in the dream.) If anything I previously mentioned sounds accurate, reflect on what you think might be hindering you or making you feel bad and you might resolve an important issue that is asking for your attention.

in your life there is something you are trying to acomplish, an advancement or something in school, work, religion, or relationship. the solution is simple but you may not be willing to follow through with the circumstances. the school means advancement, the problems in getting to class are not following through with circumstances, the struggling to do but cant and is simple in real life means that as i have stated not being willing. just look over your life and find the things you are NOT willing to change and change them you should stop having the dreams then.

Dreams are raw sub-conscious thought.Everything you see is a symbol of some aspect of your life.On a guess,I'd say there is a problem in your life that you are trying to figure out but keep having obstacles in your way of solving your problem.

Your dream speaks of your current situation in life.
I guess you're having much fear & worry in your life.
Fear of failures, fear of not being able to achieve what you want, fear of being left out...etc etc
