Marketing Demographic segmentation?

It is when you segment (divide, seperate, etc.) demographic traits of a market into specific groups. Example:

Demographic A - Asian American Males, Age 21-35, Income $80,000 - $250,000

Demographic B - Caucasian Females, Age, 18-21, Baptist, Income $20,000 - $60,000

These are segmented markets with variables. Different demographic data basically.
