Is there anyone out there that has experience side effects after taking Pravastatin to treat high cholesterol?

I've been on this medication for 3 weeks now and for the last 3 days I've been experiencing muscle pain and weakness, nausea, and fever. I thought I may have come down with the flu but all the symptoms have gotten better except for the muscle pain and weakness. After reading the possible side effects of this medication, which listed all of these symptoms I've been feeling, I think the cause may be the medication and not the flu. Anyone else have/had this problem?

Update:

If anyone has experienced this..........

What was done?

What did your doctor advise you to do?

How were the symptoms treated?

NO problem with Lipitor. Always check out the drug online for side effects. You utimately end up being responsible for yourself and only you know yourself. I did have a bad experience with a high blood pressure med. They thought I was having heart problems and order a very expensive cath. My arteries or veins were ok, all they needed to do was change that med. Always know the side effects and watch like crazy and do those tests every three months to check his liver. Good luck. And when they do blood work, I always ask for a copy. I put the results in a spread sheet and add each new set of tests. Sometimes you may be normal but there may be a general trend you want to see and it could take place over some time and you want to be aware of it and point it out to your doctor. And if they don't pay attention, get another one.
