Calorimetry Lab Procedure?

I have to design a lab dealing with calorimetry. Can anyone help me come up with a procedure? I'm using temperature probe and an unknown metal.

    umm

ok you take that special mug. put water in. calculate the temperature of water. Seal or cover the mug with paper towel. Make a small incision in the middle of the paper so you can monitor the temperature of water. Stick that unknown metal in the water. Make sure the mug is sealed as much as possible. Constantly monitor the temperature until it reaches the highest point. Use Q=mc(temperature2 - temperature1) and H = -Q

to calculate the amount of heat that the unknown metal has given off.
