iPod 80G classic -- can you shuffle within a music genre?
OK, I know you can shuffle randomly among all songs on your iPod, and you can play songs within any genre (rock, jazz, etc) sequentially, but is there a way to pick a certain genre (jazz, for example) and shuffle among all your songs of that genre only? Thanks folks.

I don't believe so. You can only shuffle between all songs on the ipod. I've always found that annoying too. You should be able to pick certain categories to shuffle within.. and even shuffle the songs in a particular album.. but you can't.

You can try making a separate playlist. Then select shuffle for that playlist.
