DVD to AVI converter - suitable for encoding episodes from my Futurama DVDs?
OK - I own all the Futuramas on DVD's, I want to back the DVD's up onto my media centre so I can browse all the eps. without swapping DVD's.
I need a utility that will make AVI files (while using my divx codec) of each episode as a spereate avi file.
Easier the better as there are a lot of DVDs.
Somone must have done this before - - and by the way - I am doing nothing wrong, i am legaly allowed to make a backup of materal I have bought legitimately.
Thanks

VS Video Converter is the best. I really like it.
http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/avs-video-tools.htm
The program is very simple.
- install and run it
- open *.ifo or *.vob files from a DVD (*.ifo is preferable)
- click "To AVI"
- click "Convert Now"
that's all
