checking account monies after someone dies?
My ex just passed away, my son lived with him but only my ex's name was on the account but my son put his monies into the account to pay for half the bills. Can my son get the monies out or what happens to the monies since he had no will?

OH NO...Sorry for the loss. First, I would make sure that there were no beneficiaries on the account. If there were, they are now the owner(s) of the funds. If NOT, you will have to get a lawyer, and more than likely thy will have to get what is called a "right of heirship" or letters of administration.

You need a lawyer, and hopefully he had a will and a power of attorney to greatly speed up the process.
