since shelter dogs are so unpredictable because they all come from different backgrounds...the best bet is to just go to the shelter and see which dog you bond with. you can ask more info about the breed (or breeds) to a volunteer.

besides, half the dogs (if not more) are a mix of some kind, and usually isn't a purebreed.

I say a poodle or any poodle mix- I just got a peek a poo and he is totally awesome cuddly fun smart and previously had a toy poodle wayyy tooo smart mentality of a 3 year old great aswell - good luck- and by the way all of them need to be loved and they return it 10xs back.

Depends which size you want. Small dogs: Long hair chihuahuas are your best choice... Medium: I would say any kind of collie. Large: Golden retrievers and labs are shoe-ins. Hope I could help!
