It seems a lot of women are making false rape accusations anymore. Should any changes be made?
Time after time we see false accusations.. Duke LaCrosse.. Kobe Bryant.. Mark Chmura... Tawana Brawley. , The syracuse false rape.
These women dont care whose lives they destroy. Should there be a higher burden of proof? Also should the women making these false accusations be able to face the same punishment. Seems to me they should spend a LONG time in jail. We need a deterrent for false rape accusations
So dont change burden of proof and let thousands of men go to jail on baseless accusations? I guess everyone has their own opinion.. but going to jail for a few years for something you did not do.. is a lot worse.. physically and emotionally then getting violated
salad.. you are full of junk
I have seen statistics too. I have seen court cases.
This conception that men are going free is ridiculous. more innocent men are going to jail then actually guilty ones.
They have little recourse and are often convicted with little to no evidence.
When i was 22.. I was with a gf at a party.. in the room behind us we could hear 2 people having sex.. people we knew.. we could actively hear her participate... the next day she was insisting she was raped...
women lie about this stuff
because they feel guilty about it
because they want attention...
because they are afraid their dad will be mad
because they want to win a custody fight.
Your studies are just plain off.. you need look closer at the situation

Wow I think Salad might be the most ignorant person I have ever met.
Look at the jail system buddy!
Loaded with men accused of rape. Many of which were obviously innocent.
It doesn't take a brain to look and see that years of jail for a crime you did not commit is 100x worse then being touched penetrated whatever.
Society tries and make it haunt you forever.. but you can go on with your life.. you can still have a job!
you can still go out with your friends the next night!
To say otherwise shows what a retard you really are.
As for the question.
I agree we need more burden of proof and many of these rape shield laws need to go
We can't know the facts surrounding this case?
I think the idea a girl had sex with 7 men the same night might be relevant.
Or if a gal is accusing a celebrity.. but her friends knew her to brag non stop of sleeping with celebrity look-alikes.
As for punishment. They should get twice the sentence if they are found guilty of false accusation.
So the gal in the Duke LaCrosse case should have had all the maximum time the men faced combined times 2

Yes there should. These women who make false accusations are making things worse for those who have been true victims of rape...its like they treat rape as if its some sick joke. It isn't. They should get fined and sent to jail for any false accusations. Its wrong to ruin another innocent human being's life.

I studied rape at uni and I can tell yoy something that will surprise you.....only 4% of rape accusations actually result in a conviction of any kind. Do you really think many would be willing to go through their sex life in court just to get revenge unless they genuinely felt they had been raped? and what revenge would it be? revenge for being shagged? well even if they did regret it the morning after it would take a psycho to try and get "revenge" for that....it makes no sense ....what r u accusing these women of doing, can u please tell me what their motivations would be? In the UK a recent survey showed that 1 in 2 men thought it was ok to force a woman to have sex under certain circumstances. Maybe you should leave the decision making up to the judge..... and consider that just becuase a girl is passed out in a guys bedroom that DOES NOT make it ok for him to force himself on her just cause he has managed to get her up to his room. Sadly a lot of men think this is fine....maybe you should consider that men are actually guilty of rape sometimes? the cases u talk abt are just high profile cases.....use ur head....there are at least thousands more cases for every one case that is like that, that we dont hear about and that are genuine. If only 4% of rape claims actually result in any kind of conviction, then 96% of men go free anyway....thats higher than ANY OTHER CRIME PRETTY MUCH........and that is still a lot of guilty ppl going away scot free. Get ut facts straight before you start presiding as judge of these matters and DONT believe everything you read.
You actually believe that "Thousands of men go to jail"....uh no....when I studied the police and criminality ar uni....Ill have you know that it was revealed that the UK police (mostly male) actually LAUGH at women who report rape, lose their files, make derogatory remarks about them, uh no, I really dont know what planet you are on, but in this world if you are genuinely raped there is little chance of the person EVER being caught, much less actually going to court for it. And how can you arrogantly preside as judge on the matter and weigh personal suffering? I take it you have never been raped nor have you been to jail so why are you pretending you know about these two subjects?

the problem is if we raise the burden of proof, it will hurt woman who are rape victims. This is a very fragile subject.
