Smart Car 600cc Fortwo coolant?
Does anyone know what I should use to top up the coolant chamber in my Smart Car City Passion Fortwo?
The manual doesn't say... hence my asking!

Check the color... Green is straight glycol (well 50/50 mix with water). Other colors, pink, red, orange, etc. is usually extended life coolant with an additive package. There should be some form of label on the coolant reservoir, dictating which coolant to use.
Your best bet... call your dealer, and ask them to clarify!

Coolant IS 1/2 distilled water and 1/2 antifreeze. That is the recommended mix, not only to keep from freezing but also to dissipate the engine heat. More or less antifreeze in the mixture changes that ability. In fact some cars, if you use plain water will overheat.

I would suspect it contains a 50:50 mix of long life coolant:water. Top it off with the same.
