Need help from people who are familiar with musical instruments?

Music has always been a big part of my life, but for the last few years I have been unable to play my cello b/c the cartilage in my bow hand's thumb has disintegrated (OW!). I need to find an instrument (not brass) that I can play that wont use the thumb of my right hand Suggestions?

I am putting this under general music, but it should be in mental health b/c music is my way to relax and get centered.

Flute would be nice, at least your injured thumb would not need to work at all then.

    Source(s): I'm a flute player.

Try playing it like a bass or try electric bass-no real need for the thumb to play then.
