How To Close Your Hotmail Account

If you don't sign in to your Hotmail account for more than 30 days, or within the first 10 days after signing up for a new account, all messages, folders, and contacts are marked for deletion, but the account name is still reserved. If the account stays inactive for a further 90 days, the account name is permanently deleted.

Change your password

Sign in to the Windows Live Hotmail website with your Windows Live ID (The user name and password that you use to sign in to any Windows Live, MSN, or Office Live sites and services. If you have a Passport Network, Hotmail, or Messenger account, you can use it as your Windows Live ID.) .

In the upper-right corner of the page, click Options, and then click More options.

Under Manage your account, click View and edit your personal information.

Next to Password, click Change.

Type your old password, type your new password twice, and then click Save.

you will see safe and blocked senders

choose blocked senders

type in the email address

click add

Remove Block Sender

click options in top right corner

under the Junk e-mail section

click remove
