On Palestine and Western Christians?
Why do so many Western Christians support Israel (a Jewish state the outlaws proselytizing) instead of Palestine (which has a massive Christian population).
If your answer is along the lines of "because it's the only democracy in the region", would the same Christians support a democratic Hindu/Buhdist/Atheist state if it was in a conflict with a Muslim-Christian minority?

You're asking the wrong people. We displaced the Native Americans.
And, I do not look at the religion - so yes, I would support a democratic Hindu (India)/Buhdist/Athiest state.

First, that would be a bit difficult to do, since I checked my atlas and there is no place called Palestine, except for a city in Texas.
Thus, your statement "Palestine (which has a massive Christian population)" has two major errors. One is that there is no place called Palestine.
The other has to dowith the Christians in the Holy Land.
Bethlehem (which is not in Israel but is part of the Palestinian Authority) had been primarily a Christian city, but in recent years the "friction" with the Muslims there has resulted in many Christians leaving.
Currently, Jews are not permitted to go to Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem except in bulletproof buses, although it's just a few minutes walk from Gilo in Jerusalem.
It is well-known and understood that the Arabs, in demanding the return of the refugees to "Palestine," mean their return as masters of the Homeland and not as slaves. With a greater clarity, they mean the liquidation of the State of Israel (Al-Misri, October 11, 1949).

Americans support the State of Israel because they are supposed to be the children of God. They are important in the Bible and called God's children. If the Palestine nation has christians we may not know it. The palestine people talked about in the bible were enemies to the Children of Israel. If the Americans were serious enough about the topic they might research the project a little more and offer a more help to the palestines. However, how do we know what any of them really believe in? It could be a totally different kind of biblical knowledge that they have. A more literal translation could be needed. lol

distinctive the Christian Palestinians fled into the West financial company in 1948 - or Lebanon - and weren't accredited back. through fact 1967 they have been basically as stricken via nazi zionism as the different Palestinian, and no it has not something to do with Hamas which did not even emerge until the overdue 80's. via then the Christian Palestinian inhabitants had dropped via 80-ninety% through fact the zionist seizure of skill.

I think the mentality of wanting to protect Israel is biblical in nature.

the whole sutiation is way too fked up right now to be taking sides. i can see the arguments of both sides, and honestly i cant think of any way short of all out war that this will ever get resolved. that being said, i know that conflict between these two peoples will only add to the pain and confusion between them, so im looking for alternatives... but havent found any yet.
bush has no chance of bringing peace. i wish he did, but he doesnt. too little too late.

the state of Israel, surrounded and out numbered, won a very critical war. it was the six day war. if the Palestinians were good fighters than Israel may not be a state today. they won the six day war and if need be, they can do it again.
