Statistics Problem (finding significance between two percentages)?
Ok, so here's my problem. I'm terrible at statistics, but I'm trying to work out a problem nonetheless.
I've got a percentage from a huge sample (in the millions) and I want to see if there's a statistical significance between it and a percentage from a much smaller population (only 84 people). How would I go about doing this? Please be as detailed as possible- like I said, this stuff goes right over my head and I want to be sure I don't miss a step.

1 AnswerHomework Help10 years agoI'm looking into buying a new computer...?
I'm looking for a new laptop- something cheap (under 400 dollars would be ideal), reliable, and with decent internet capabilities and average memory. Any suggestions?
(and no, I don't want anything by Apple)
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoAbout computers, black screens, and hard drives...?
My computer screen has died on me (the computer still boots up fine- the screen is blank/black though) and I'm pretty sure there's issues with either the graphics card or the monitor. Now I've had this crappy computer for a while now and I'm wondering whether it would be cheaper to have it looked at (how much would that cost?) or buy a new computer for around 400 bucks (if I bought a new computer, how much would it cost to get the files off my old hardrive and put 'em on my new computer?).
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoMy computer screen has gone black...?
My computer froze up and upon rebooting it I've found that the screen is totally black. I can type in my password and hear my computer start up, but the screen stays totally blank. What's the problem and how do I fix it?

2 AnswersElections1 decade agoWindows Corrupt File Problem?
Essentially, my problem is this. I am constantly getting a message that tells me my "System Volume Information" has been corrupted and that I need to run something called "Chkdsk" (which I ran, but it didn't do anything).
I haven't noticed any particular problem with my computer since these messages started appearing, so what I really want to know is how on earth do I get this message to stop appearing?

3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow does America justify bombing Syria?
How does America justify bombing Syria when Syria has remained neutral throughout the conflict, even taking in a few million Iraqi refugees? Granted, there were claims that Syria "allowed" militants to travel into Iraq, but at the same time Iraqi officials stated that they're wasn't much of a problem anymore with militants coming in from Iran and Syria. Besides, in America, illegal immigrants cross over the border in masses every day- how can America, a country with many times the resources and manpower of the much small Syria- attack Syria for something they can't do themselves? And why did it have to be civilians? Surely a few guys, a woman, and four children weren't a threat to US or Iraqi security...
11 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoOn Palestine and Western Christians?
Why do so many Western Christians support Israel (a Jewish state the outlaws proselytizing) instead of Palestine (which has a massive Christian population).
If your answer is along the lines of "because it's the only democracy in the region", would the same Christians support a democratic Hindu/Buhdist/Atheist state if it was in a conflict with a Muslim-Christian minority?
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoOn Jesus and the Bible?
Where in the Bible does it say that you need to become a Christian to be saved? (I can only recall that Jesus said that HE was the way, not Christianity) If one needs only to follow Jesus, then why does he or she need to be classified as a Christian? Shouldn't one be able to stay in his or her own religion and still follow Jesus (this was done by the disciples who were Jewish followers of Christ, not Christians) Why is it that people claim there can't be Messianic Muslims, or Messianic Buhdists or Messianic Toaists?
A Note:
I don't care if you give me an answer that I don't like, just give me an answer that answers THIS exact question. Please, no commentary on your PERSONAL feelings abou Messianics. Just answer what I have down.
Please.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoOn Politics, U.S. Christians, and Palestinians?
Since the state of Israel is a Jewish state, and since in Israel it is illegal to proselytize, why do American Christians support Israel instead of the Christian Palestinians? (yes, most Palestinians are Muslim, but there is a hefty number of Christians too)
And don't say it's because Palestinians are terrorists- there have been just as many cases of Israelies killing Palestinians as there have been of Palestinians killing Israelies
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoOn Muslims, Christians, and Jesus?
The following is a serious answer, so I want serious and ration answers.
1. If the Bible says that you are saved through Jesus, then why do people claim that one needs to become a Christian to be saved?
2. If there are Messianic Jews (Jews who beleive in the divinity of Jesus while still following Jewish law), why do people get angry when someone claims to be a Messianic Muslim, a Messianic Buhdist, etc.?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoOn Palestine, Israelis, and Native Americans?
If the Palestinians were forced to leave the land the occupied for 2000 years, shouldn't the Native Americans get their land back which has been occupied for only 200 years?
This is a serious question please give serious answers.
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoOn Iraq, the U.S., and invasions in general...?
If the U.S. invaded Iraq because it was suspected of having weapons of mass destruction, and if the U.S. puts sanctions on Iran for creating nuclear weapons, would it not also be justified if Iraq invaded the U.S. becuase it was suspected of having weapons of mass destruction, and for Iran to sanction the U.S. for creating nuclear weapons?
This is a serious question, I ask only for serious answers.
