What is considered "one day" of contact lens wear? A 24-hour period or just how long you wear them at a time?

I am new to my contact lenses and have only worn them up to about 8 or 9 hours a day so far. But I have a function tonight after work where I'd like to wear them. If I wear them all day and all night tonight, it'll be about 14 or 15 hours of wear for one day, which is probably too much too soon! Is it okay if I take my contacts out for a few hours this afternoon and then put them back in tonight? Or is that still too much too soon for "one day"?

One a days refer to the normal amount of time you would usually wear your contacts in a day. If you're new to wearing them, then yes, you should take them out prior to wearing them for an extended period of time during the evening. It is important to gradually increase your wearing time so your eyes can adapt. Remember, it IS a foreign object you're putting into your eye! Just use common sense...if your eyes get tired, take them out. If they feel fine, then only wear them the amount of time prescribed by your doctor.

Normal one day wearing lenses allows wearing up to 10hrs. but now, proclear one day does offer the user to use the lenses for more than 12hrs of wearing. Do try it out soon.

relies upon on the variety of lenses you have. there are particular lenses on the industry which could be worn continuously for something from 6 days appropriate as much as a minimum of one month devoid of taking them out. they're noted as prolonged positioned on lenses and are particularly skinny delicate lenses that permit the eyes to get the utmost volume of oxygen. although if it is basically straight forward daily or month-to-month lenses which you have, i does no longer propose keeping your lenses in for twenty-four hours.
