Could a native speaker make this text sound better and correct the mistakes? Thanks in advance.?

The aim of education is not only to fill up children with information. Excessive information will simply develop their memories but not prepare them for the storms of life. It,on the other hand, will probably restrict their individual freedoms, because so much information will render the children void of necessary experiences to apply what they have learned. Therefore, they can not use their minds, think and behave freely. They can not create new solutions on new situations and this will lead them to constantly seek an harbour to be anchored firmly.

Update:

Thanks Vaness8. I mean somewhere they will feel safe.

The aim of education is not only to fill childrens' heads with information.

Excessive information may develop their memories but not prepare them for the storms of life.

Contrarily, it will restrict their individual freedoms, because too much information will render the children void of necessary experiences to apply what they have learned.

Therefore, they would not use their minds - think and act freely.

EDIT (Changed last sentence per additional details):

They would not be able to solve problems in life and this will lead them to second guess their decisions and seek constant approval from authority figures.

The aim of education is not simply to fill children's brains with facts. Excessive information will (simply) develop their memory, but will not prepare them for the storms of life. What is more, it will probably restrict their individual freedom, because so much information will deprive them of the experience necessary to apply the things that they have learnt. Therefore they will not be able to use their mind, think and behave freely. They will not contemplate original answers to problems in new situations and this will lead them to constantly seek refuge in safe solutions.

"memories" are things that you remember. Memory, freedom and mind are better left in the singular.

You have to be consistent with your tenses.

" render ....void" is very clumsy in this context.

One is "in"a situation, not "on".

Have you considered using the word "purpose" rather than "aim"? I would be tempted to reword that sentence:"The purpose of education should not be etc...."

I have taken the liberty of rewording the part which was not clear.

The aim of education is not only to supply children with information. Excessive information will simply devolp their knowledge, but not prepare them for the storms of life. (by it i assume you mean excessive information) In fact, it will probable restrcit their individual freedoms because so much information will render the in their quest of necessart experiences to apply what they have learned. Therefore, they can not use their minds, think, or behaive freely. They can not create new solutions to apply to new situations. This, will lead them to constantly seek a harbor (harbour if in Britain) to be achored to.

Pretty good. What is it for?
