Lebaron smoking through front exhaust mani?
Hi,
My '93 Lebaron GTC V6 3.0L is leaking through the exhaust manifold, it never overheats, or gets to any abnormal temperature, just after a little driving it'll start smoking through the front mani or front heat shield. Maybe the mani gaskets are bad?? Just wanted some extra input before I start tearing it down. Oh, and I don't see any holes.

Previous poster got it right. Most common is a bad valve cover gasket. The gasket sits VERY close to the exhaust, and they tend to crack after awhile. I just replaced them on my '94 GTC last summer.
BTW, you want this fixed, because the oil tends to collect in the starter solenoid, and will shorten the life of your starter...

It's either loose (which you can check by tightening the bolts), the gasket is shot, or the manifold itself is cracked.
Otherwise, you might have a leaky valve cover gasket that is allowing oil to run down and burn on the exhaust.
good luck!
