IP address for a Domain?
I have purchased a domain and I want to host my website from my system. For this I need one static IP address.
The IP addresses I see from LAN->TCP/IP addresses are given by my Internet Service Provider.
Can I use the same IP address for hosting the website also?

Just bought a server and server software, i have dedicated ip addresses provided by my isp. Im thinking of a good domain name though.
Check with your ISP for the static IP's if you ordered it, thats good.
get business class DSL/cable or a T1 if you want great bandwidth. They provide you with static IP's. AT & T gives you eight(8) IP's for the basic
Its better if you have a server than a PC
IF you cant get a static ip address you can use dynamic but you have to subscribe to these firms:

Well, sadly you can't. You purchased a domain and guess what for the dedicated IP, you need to purchase it too.
I recommend that you contact your Internet Service Provider to buy a dedicated IP.
But if you want to host a website why must you host it at your system?
You could go online to search for other affordable and reliable hosting services. Some of them even give you a free domain. And for their services, you won't need to purchase a dedicated IP.
Not only is it dangerous to host using your own computer it is also costly because you have to keep it on and make sure it does not get too hot. And you must also keep in mind security like installing firewalls etc...

It's not as simple as that. If you want to host the web, you need a webserver for your pc. And if you want to host any server program like Ragnarok, WoW and etc you need their emulator to do so.
From your LAN tcp\ip is not a correct WAN ip, it wrote there LAN (Local Area Network). You need to make it correctly, is your connection are staticly or dynamicly

yes if you use your computer as a server. If you host it, most hosting company offer dedicated IP with your hosting package
