Can I legally drive or will they rent me a moped at age 16 with a learners permit?
Hi,
I'm currently 16 with a learners permit in the state of Minnesota and I'm going on a trip to Florida in March and was wondering if it's legal for me to rent a moped under 50 cc for the day with my dad. He would be renting his own.
Thanks alot,
Shane

To be honest most places wont let anyone rent a car/go cart/ anything on wheels really till your 21 unless b/c of a pacific situation. Got in a wreck at 19 (was the other persons fault), and only because it the other persons fault and because i was in college a place let me rent a car. But really at 16 can only drive with an adult in the car next to you, atleast where i am at that is the law.

a moped usually requires a operators license of it's own and if your learners permit is for a car it won't work for a moped. Take the motorcycle course before you go to get the right endorsements placed on your license before you go.
