Received message, no sender (area blank)?
I received an email message marked "[none]" with absolutely nothing in the "sender" area - it was completely blank. How can this happen? I right-clicked on the subject but there was nothing to indicate where the message came from so it was completely anonymous. Also, there was nothing in the message - I opened it even thought I probably should not have.
There nothing in the "sender" area/it's completely blank.

It is possibly just a test from a mailing list company to see which addresses are valid. Invalid addresses will bounce back to them.

This happens to me all the time recently. I finally took a closer look at all the emails and noticed that they were all spam and they all contained the word "pharmacy" in the subject line. I set up a general rule to delete all such emails and it has stopped (well - for a week now anyway).
PS: I sure wish that Yahoo would come up with some sort of
SPAM filter setting or a general rule setting whereby I could automatically forward emails where the sender is blank to my junk folder or similar.
