My major is computer science is that a good choice?

Computer science is good field to go into, being that technology is everywhere you turn. Information Systems should be incorporated in your computer science courses. Just remember to keep up your social skills when you start taking classes in computer science, most people I know that are into computer science lose their social skills and become impatient with us mere humans. I think because human brains are just too slow to compete with computers. Good luck in school.

Personally, I think that majoring in computer science is a good choice. Computer Science is relatively new to us, and as the population and jobs increase, the demand for new employees goes up. (Or so I think. Hard to multitask at the same time, isn't it?) Also, I'm pretty sure that a lot of companies would hire women who have majored in computer science.

Though I'm only in high school at the moment, I'm also planning to major in computer science. I've been told these things, too.

Computer engineering would be better. Employers prefer to higher those who can program and can also work on the equipment that they use. Computer engineering is more flexible and can adapt more easily to changing technologies.

CS is pretty good. pretty much everything these days needs some type of programming to run it.

You can make TONS of money in this field and by being one of the few females you will meet lots of guys. (Most of them will probably be dorks who will live in their mothers' basements until they are 30, but hey, life isn't perfect...)
