Can Sex prevent a Yeast Infection???
According to this site http://www.thirdage.com/ebsco/files/11460.html , it says that :
"Yeast grows in conditions that are less acidic. Yeast infections occur when the vaginal fluids, which are usually mildly acidic, become less acidic. Yeast infections also result from any condition that causes a decrease in the ‘good' bacteria that help keep yeast levels in check."
To my point of view the more accidic the vaginal fluids are the less chances of contracting a vaginal infection. I understand that vaginal lubrication is acid-like just to give the sperms a hard time. So i kinda had an ephifany when i realize that if i have more sex with my girl i might help her prevent her yeast infection (I just gotta make sure she's well lubricated). So what do you guys think, Does sex prevents a yeast infection????

Lubricants and sex (ejaculate) can change the delicate pH balance of the vaginal mucosa which can lead to a yeast infection. The increased heat and moisture associated with sex can also increase the opportunity for yeast to grow in the vagina. So even though it sounds good in theory, in reality having more sex will not prevent your girl from getting a yeast infection. Sorry.

Personally I think if anything it can cause one. If the conditions of the vagina are already that she's on the verging of getting a yeast infection, I think that sex just agitiates it and can bring it along quicker. There are some people who believe that having sex in a way 'rubs' the bacteria in, basically causing the yeast infection. The idea is to balance out the vagina and the body to prevent yeast infections, so I don't thinkt hat making it more acidic is necessarily the answer, a balance between the two needs to be found.

I think it is highly possible you are trying to reason this out in order to have more sex with your girl, which I can understand, BUT I rather doubt sex is a preventive measure against yeast infection. Yeast infections can be prevented by wearing dry and clean panties, keeping the vaginal area clean.

No, actually, it has the oposite effect. Sex can induce or aggravate a yeast infection. Does your g/f get them a lot? A person should not get more than 3/yr. She could have a severe imbalance leading to a syndrome called Candida. Candida Albicans is the yeast that causes yeast infections but it starts in your digestive tract. Anyway, I dont want to bore you cause she might not even get chronic yeast infections but if she does, tell her to look it up.
*yeast infections have nothing to do with being clean...

I don't think that the fluids are acidic "to give sperm a hard time". Natural selection doesn't work like that.
I'm pretty sure that sex helps to spread yeast infections, rather than minimize them.
I think you are barking up the wrong vagina with this one.

No sex will not prevent a Yeast infection in some cases can make it worse!

no it does not, matter of fact don't have sex when you have a yeast infection, cuz you will give it to the person your having sex with.

It should, but you can never be too sure. It would be safer if your partner used protection to prevent it from spreading in case your contraceptive fails
