What do you think of my idea for a new Y!Answers points system?

Instead of issuing points by answering questions or getting a best answer only, how about you get points given out to you by other members ? And you have to earn how many points you have to give away in any given day.

Say john said something I like, and I have earned 25 points to give away per day. I can give him 10, or the entire 25.

It might make it easier to earn points, but harder to earn the points you give away (to keep people from cheating so easily). Maybe make it so any one person can only give 20 points max to the same person per day.

Also, maybe let the person picking the best answer to say "wel if it's a great answer, maybe give 10, but just okay, give only 2" PLUS if they've had to earn how many points they can give away, it may make it harder to cheat by asking stupid questions and giving yourself best answer. (even give the opportunity to make thumbs up mean something even if you have B.A.

What do you think?

IN YA China, they do something similar to that. If you want to ask a question, you can pick how many points you are willing to reward to the best answer (depends on how urgent you need your answers, people are more willing to answer questions that will give 20 points versus the 10 points.

Sounds good but I think i like Yahoo Answers scoring system. I on the other hand think they should add titles for achievement, such as President or Ambassador status for those people over 100,000 points.

No. As the earlier consumer mentioned, the facets are vain and inspire folks to reply the questions. The facets additionally proliferate the tendency for a few customers to reply in so much unhelpful methods.
