Hi. I'm using WindowsXP and I'm wondering if it is true that multiple accounts slow down my computer?

I got this message that if I have more than two accounts (Main and Guest) in my comp, then it will slow down, if not drastically...any truth in this claim?

Your computer is quite fast. Windows will slow down your computer. Multiple accounts will only do that if they are logged in at the same time.

If you wanna see how fast your computer is, try downloading and burning a copy of ubuntu linux, or maybe PClinuxOS to a CD. Reboot to the CD and see how it flies!

Looks much nicer than windows too ;) and multiple accounts are what Linux is designed for with PROPER security. Nobody wants to run as administrator, as it doesn't give you any benefit - but you can't do that in XP now can you? :P

The only thing that multiple accounts do to your system is to add extra folders for the users in the Documents and Settings folders. However, because Windows XP wasn't set up like linux or unix - to have more than one user, the user accounts aren't really very secure or effective, and if they're not all administrator accounts, then they're really not very good to use.

Try out the new windows, it's based on three previous super operating systems Windows CE, Windows ME and Windows NT

It is called Windows CEMENT. Hard as rock and thick as a brick.

5 stars for a super star answer please ;)
