no, hamsters are solitary - males fight, and females fight unless they are in heat with a male (and she will chase him away when they are done).

I have two Russian dwarf hamsters that live together quite happily. They need to be litter mates though, as it's very hard to introduce them once they are full grown. Mine are sisters, (so no babies!) and really don't fight at all, apart from a little squabbling over food treats; but I make sure that they get one each to avoid that! I've had them for a year now, and had no problems with them at all. It's actually recommended that if you get dwarf hamsters you get two, as they are sociable creatures and aren't as happy when they're by themselves.
Make sure you get them from a reputable pet shop though - a friend of mine was sold two hamsters (I'm not sure what breed they were) and one killed the other a few days later. The people at the pet shop should not have sold the two together, so make sure the people at the pet shop know what they're talking about!
If you want two, it's really important to get a breed that can live together, as most hamsters can't. Do your research and you'll be fine!

What on earth are dawaft hamsters???? After many years working in pet shops and owning dozens of hamsters myself, I've never seen a dawaft hamster!!!

If they're both the same gender then it should be fine. If one is male and the other is female, don't do it unless you want LOTS of little hamsters (it's not as cool as it sounds LOL)

if there the tiny hamster it should be ok but if ther bigger hamsters they cant live together and if you have differant sexes and they breed after birth the father kills the babys

if they are russian dwarf or chinese then yes
but they must be from same little
females are better than males
(male) ones can get territorial and try humping each other(sorry)
make sure you get them from a pet shop so they are not interbreeds hamsters

Yeah if you get them from the same litter , of course.
Try to get same sex or you will end up with more than 2. They do incest , Hamsters.

No they cant be kept together regardless of sex. They are very territorial and can be violent towards each other.
Source(s): Foud out the hard way .... bought 2 hamster from a pet store and was not warned. It was not pretty, one hamster killed the other and attempted to knaw at his body. - Anonymous1 decade ago
they should be ok . just ask the pet shop when you buy them if they will be alright together .
