Disability and Wills?
If someone wanted to will you a house but you're on disability..how would that effect your benefits. I've already tried calling the government office and all they basically say is..."Call at a better time and hang up on me...LOL...I was calling during office hours too.....gee thanks!! Serious answers only please!

If your disability benefits are income or asset dependent, then it might affect them. If your disability income depends entirely on the existence of your disability, then it would not affect your benefits.

It's going to be treated as any other asset you might aquire while on disability. Only your case worker who explained asset posession to you or an atty can tell you how it will specifically affect you.

My personal suggestion would be to talk it over with an attorney that specializes in that category.
