I mean it's endless... One of my favorite things is when you hear someone take a hard rock song and slow it down with just acoustic... as long as the lyrics are poiniant it works.

Beatles stuff .. some people hate it.. Some people believe its timeless...

The other thing to consider always is the crowd.. what is the age group? that along with your style of music sort of play big in this questions best answer.

One of my favorites is Won't Get Fooled Again, by The Who. The way they do it is so epic, but when you strip it down, there's a really nice song under all that power and synth.
