MY VIRTUAL VILLAGERS GOLDEN CHILD is dead !! hehe?

haha, about 2minutes ago, I came and checked on my happy little villagers. I have solved all the puzzles, they have plenty of food and tech points. But when I opened the game there was, like, my golden child had found some strange fruit, and there was a choice for me to decide if I want him to eat it, or leave it alone. I chose for him to eat it, and waited to see what will happen. then, it just said that the fruit was poisonous and that he died
GOLDEN CHILD CAN'T DIE, YEAH RIGHT..

I know a lot of people who would rejoice if they heard that their Golden Child had died. As you noted, normally the Golden Child can't die, at least not of normal starvation, illness, or old age (obviously not if he stays 5 years old all the time!). However, island events can change, harm, or kill your Golden Child or make him disappear or lose skill in one or more area levels. 

I made one of my Golden Children drink a liquid once and he changed appearance so that he ended up with a shock of red hair. That's an interesting sight. Another Golden Child I had found a book and I chose for him to read it. He was surprised at the contents and went to see if the contents told the truth and disappeared into the woods. And before I forget, I purposely made him read the book and disappear. :)
