Problem after installing windows xp service pack 3?
I have just installed windows xp service pack 3 and after restarting, I receive a stop error on a blue screen. It starts in safe mode but that's about it.
Anyone else had this problem and if so, what did you do to fix it? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

There is a service pack 3? I must be behind. Anyway, when do you get this screen? Can you start windows at all? I would suggest removing the SP3(2) if you can, and try reinstalling (if you dare) You can do this in the add remove programs, just check show updates. If you can start the computer, I don't know if it will let you do it in safe mode.

You can do a 'system restore' from the safe mode. Go back to a time before you installed the service pack.

Is your version of XP real. Dont mean to be impolite yet this could provide up you from downloading good updates from MS. additionally in the journey that your key's real have you ever downloaded the main recent Installer from MS because it now must be validated.

In Windows XP, to add support for High Definition Audio, we have to install the Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver.
Download and extract using 7zip.

your trouble will vanish.
