Collective Bargaining Negotiation Tactics?
I'm a graduate student working toward my MBA; we are doing a mock negotiation in my collective bargaining calss, and I was wondering if anyone has been through that type of process and if you had any (serious) tips for getting what we want in the negotiation. I am heading up the labor side of the process. A good friend is heading the management side, so I don't want to do anything too disruptive, BUT I am very competetive and want to come out ahead of them!

The project is for MBA.
your friend team in management side - an offensive side.
yours labor team in defensive
added to this you desire not to do disruptive - again you on defensive.
defensive side never gain either in negotiation nor in a war.
fair play -
Analise corporate balance sheet, profit and loss account - question the cause of loss - if running in profit ask for a lion share. compare the corporate performance with the sector/industry standard - question the shortfall.
if the corporate is performing above sector/industry standard attribute the performance on labor
proceed with negotiation on offensive - after all these are in a game
take it with good spirit.
