Why Do Christians Think That Noah's Ark Has Been Found?

Can someone provide proof that it's been found? There are people who say it's on Mr. Ararat, but no one has actually gone up there and found it.

Update:

Even Wikipedia says that it hasn't been found.

Update 2:

Angel Wings - where's the proof? Making that statement doesn't make it true.

Update 3:

Animal Lover - My reference to Wikipedia was said tongue-in-cheek.

Well, isn't it conveniently hidden away in Turkey?

Considering that supposedly Turkey has been supposedly prohibiting people from searching this so-called "site" for decades seems to beg the question, why are they allowing it now? It seems more likely that false narratives involving this ongoing hoax are SOP for those desperate enough to gin up some 4 X 4's staged to resemble the biblical myth just as it was described by religious agenda propaganda charlatans. In the past, the only view of this so-called thing linking it to biblical myths/legends were extremely grainy UFO-like photos, so has anyone bothered to question the agenda of the "evangelical-(sic) "explorers"? How does anyone verify that they were in fact at the site they claimed to be at? This could just as easily be a poorly elaborated hoax like the premise, (plot) behind the movie Capricorn one, (1978). This is pure a prior i, reaching a conclusion, then searching for "evidence" that can be passed off as "valid proof" that religious lie repetition works as long as everyone involved is sticking consistently to the "same talking-point page". The only fact of this story is the fact that it's even being reported as if it's somehow newsworthy to begin with, I take it the next artifact to be "found" is the ark of the covenant? Oh, never-mind, I goggled it and supposedly they found that already! Religious charlatans never sleep.

There have been a few expeditions to the top of Mt. Ararat, some have said that they have seen a large object buried in the ice. I believe that there is a grainy photograph but I am unsure. It really seems like a lot of here-say.

Besides, there is NO WAY a boat the size of the Ark (as listed in the Holy Bible) could have kept EVERY species of animal and insect. NO WAY possible. Thank you science once again.

*I'm* a Christian, and I am firmly convinced that it has not been discovered. I have watched several hokey (WOW, are they hokey) claims to the contrary, but the truth is, not a single one of them has a single shred of scientific evidence pointing to the discovery of the ark (rather than, say, an old fort or monastery or other construction of much more recent antiquity).

BTW, Wikipedia is not what I would use to refute such beliefs. It does not contain properly peer-reviewed information. Or, to put it more simply, anybody can post anything, and it might remain for a second, an hour or a year.

.It has been said that Russian and Turkish troops have seen what they think was the Ark. Also certain expeditions have had similar stories . In fact The C I A claims to have infrared photos of the Ark , but who really knows the truth Supposed some one from the space station had seen it also ??.

  • It has not been found because it does not and never did exist. It has been proven that Noah's Ark would have had to be the size of Rhode Island to hold all of the animals and enough provisions to keep them all alive for 40 days and nights.

Ignorance & wishful thinking. Most Christians are unaware that hundreds of religions have similar Great Flood stories. They think that the Noah/Flood story in the Bible is unique, when it was simply copied from older religions.
