I recently copied home vhs tapes to DVDs, and then uploaded the DVDs to my pc. I'd like to edit the VOB files, but Roxio won't edit VOB, so I need to change the extension from .vob to .mpeg2 or some other format. Will the quality of the video decrease with that change? Is there a better format I should use to keep the .vob quality?

Wouldn't the Romans have taken his body back to Rome? Would they have cremated it Roman-style? Would they have buried it? I hope they do find their bodies, but it doesn't seem logical that Augustus would've allowed the Egyptians to have control over Antony's body.

I'm using Roxio's default settings to record through the sound card with a microphone. I get about two clicks per second during the playback. But when I use another software, I don't get the clicking. Any suggestions on what I can do to eliminate the clicking while using Roxio?

I have a 25-year-old cassette tape of a recorded conversation I had with my grandmother. I've downloaded it to my computer and used Sound Soap to clean it up, but I'd like to have a professional see if he/she can do a better job. Any suggestions on where I can send it?

I have a number of interviews I recorded 25 years ago onto cassette tape that I've downloaded to wav files. The tape hiss and rumble are very prominent and I was hoping I could find something in Easy Media Creator 10 that would allow me to eliminate it. Is there a way I can capture a few seconds off the tape where the only sound is the hiss and rumble and have the software recognize it throughout the whole file and eliminate it? I've tried to use the sound editor, but when I get rid of the hiss and rumble, it also degrades the quality of the voices. If Easy Media Creator doesn't have it, does Creator 2009 have this feature? Is there another software that will do what I want?

I have thousands of old family pictures that I'd like to copy with my digital camera. I would like to mount the camera on a stand pointing down onto a surface that holds the pictures. Is there a cheap way of building the stand that also allows me to raise and lower the camera? I'd also appreciate any suggestions on how to hold down the pictures, especially pictures that have curled up over the years.

I have conversations with long-dead relatives from 20 years ago that I'd like to preserve for future generations. What can I copy them to that will last for a hundred years or more?
