You'll have to tell me how it made you better looking.

Christians think Atheists are evil and that our desires are worldly. They just don't understand that we would simply want the same for everyone so that society can realize itself as an intelligent, forward-looking entity, rather than adopting a philosophy of self-hating evil-fearing guilt-ridden foolishness.

Atheists find it easier to stand proud for what they believe because they completely understand what they believe. There are no vague historical references to misinterpret. We take what we know of the world from the world itself. Goodness is a quality of all of mankind.

The Bible was written to be impossible to follow perfectly. This ensures that those who buy into the claims will have no choice but to latch onto the religion for the "salvation" from the invisible monster it has created to substantiate the need for salvation. It goes against human nature as to substantiate the fear of punishment as being inevitable unless you accept a belief that holds no more proof than any of the other 1000+ religions in the world.

I think all organized religion is simply non-sense that enough people accept as truth. If there are 1000 religions in the world and only one of them is right, that leaves 999 which are wrong.

As an atheist, how could I even pick just 1 with the hope that it would be the one true religion even though the odds are stacked wildly against me? It would be like playing the lottery, only the risks and potential benefits are outlined differently for each bet I could possibly make. I guess I'm just not much of a gambler.

there is not any point out of Babylon gaining independence. "while seventy years are carried out" is especially imprecise. additionally, Babylon existed interior the previous and is an deserted internet site now. It replaced into an historical city. Iraq on the different hand, is a rustic with dissimilar cities. The attack on Iraq began with George Bush senior interior the Nineteen Eighties, not 2003. that's because of the fact Sadam Husein became against the yankee administration. NATO replaced into not in contact. The 2001 attack (not 2003) on Iraq did not have all NATO participants in spite of the undeniable fact that it did contain some non-NATO participants. different than that, the main severe actuality to show is this war replaced into approximately getting petrol. primary, that's substantial see a prophecy for what that's : an particularly imprecise description that lacks substantial info. enable's not ignore the prophecies that don't come real in any respect. Ask a jew why they don't settle for Jesus as their messiah.

People are sheep who simply follow the loudest voice they here. For hundreds of years, religion has been the loudest voice.. Hell, in most places, it was (and maybe still is) their believes or death; at the very least persecution. People don't know how to think for themselves, so how do you expect them to listen to a few smart people; especially when the others out number us so?

because of what you said. the same reasons atheists dont listen to non atheists. the other thinks they're better and that their beliefs seem the most "obvious"

    Maybe it's the arrogance thing...

Teasing believers is like pulling the tail of a tiger - you might get away with it for a while but eventually you will be mauled.

Could you quantify for the benefit of the rest of us, athiests and those who embrace the various religions, exactly how being an athiest has endowed you with the superior characteristics you claim to have? If it's obvious to you, it's far from obvious for the rest of us mere mortals. So... please be detailed and specific with your answers. I wait patiently for your enlightening reply. Perhaps if you're convincing enough you'll gain converts to your cause.
